Manipulations 1
Manipulations on an image from first to last, this series of images focuses on the digital manipulation on an image originally shot on 35 millimeter film scanned to digital format, then uploaded, morphed and manipulated using manual image processing software. Organic forms and geometries rearing their strange and wonderful heads.
Organized from last to first chronologically, the first image you will see is the most complex expression of this manipulation, moving down through the process all the way to the originator of the manipulations, the 35 millimeter film photograph with me as the subject.
The natural precursor to Manipulations 2, Manipulation 1’s forms are highly organic in nature, with their geometries seemingly shaped by nature itself. Circles and semi-circles, spirals, and flower-like motifs take central stage before their later explosion into the complete opposite forms found in my next series.
